Ten 2020 Releases I wish I read in 2020

Book blogging is hard, every year I hear about a ton of books that sound amazing but I’m always unable to read them all!

I have more than 70 titles in my 2020 Releases shelf on Goodread and, while I have read a couple of them, I still have many more to read. Of course, I wish I could read them all but I know it’s impossible to keep up with new releases. Here’s a selection of ten titles that I really, really wish I read this year and that I will try to prioritize in 2021.

Have you read any of the books mentioned in this post? If yes, did you enjoy them? πŸ˜€

Do you also have books that you wish you had read this year?

  1. I really wanted to get to The Doors of Eden, but the page count scared me off from even trying. I feel like I can’t handle anything over 350 these days, blech. The reviews for it have been pretty good though, at least the ones I’ve been reading from my trusted blogroll.

    1. I also struggle with reading longer books, they take me forever to read. 😦
Adrian Tchaikovsky is one of my favorite authors so I have high expectations for this one, I have also heard amazing things about this one so I will try to listen to it on audio, it will be a bit less intimidating for me this way.

      1. I listened to Children of Ruin, another book by the author, and even if I missed a few details, it was a good way for me to read it a lot quicker than if I try to read it physically!
And if your library has a copy of it, it’s even better! πŸ˜‰

  2. Vanished Birds, Doors of Eden, Bone Shard Daughter, Once and Future Witches – Iβ€˜ve read all those and they are fine reads, best of all the Witches. Just use the search field at my blog (Iβ€˜d have loved to provide links but then the spam filter will rule out this comment)

    1. I will look at your reviews after reading them! I prefer not to read reviews of books I know I want to read. It allows me to be certain that my thoughts and feelings about them are completely mine. But thanks for pointing out that you wrote reviews of them, I will compare notes later when I will have read them! πŸ˜€

  3. Black Sun, The Bone Shard Daughter, and The Once and Future Witches are all on my official list but I gotta say….there’s a lot here that’s on my unofficial list as well. Hope we’re both able to get to some of these!
